Lightning Can't Stop Seaford in Opening Win

Seaford compiled more than 340 yards on the ground Thursday and Friday.

While Mother Nature did her best to disrupt football Thursday, Seaford was still able to shut out Island Trees 24-0.

After compiling a 21-0 lead at the half, storms forced the game to stop until Friday, when they added a field goal and preserved the shutout win.

Justin Cestro led the way with 181 yards on 27 carries to go with two touchdowns for Seaford. James O'Hagan had two of Seaford's nine sacks on the day.

Joey Bonjiovi added 75 rushing yards, and Tom Galante had one sack and six tackles.
