Nearby Bar Hosts WFAN Phenom Challenge Semi-Finals

Wantagh resident John K. Shea among 10 from area who got a chance to show three WFAN judges their sports ranting skills at Miller's Ale House in Levittown.

Ten Long Island and Queens residents got their chance to show WFAN their sports knowledge and on-air skills during the semi-finals of the radio station's second Phenom Challenge at in Levittown.

The 10 contestants first answered questions from three judges about their sports fandom and personal lives before getting two minutes to perform a sample opening monologue to a show. They then faced more questions after that about current hot topics in New York sports.

One of the contestants was John K. Shea of Wantagh. She was a finalist in last year's WFAN Phenom Challenge

The finals of the competition will take place at a bar in the Jersey Shore on Aug. 19.
