PHOTOS: Seaford Football Posts Comeback Win Against West Hempstead

Vikings rally from 10-point fourth quarter deficit in 31-27 victory over Rams.

The Seaford football team moved to a perfect 4-0 on the young season with a come-from-behind 31-27 win against West Hempstead Saturday.

The Vikings rallied from a 27-17 fourth quarter deficit with a 74-yard touchdown run by Nick Fischetti with 7:22 left in the game producing the winning points. The victory avenges a 28-20 loss Seaford suffered to West Hempstead last year that ended the Vikings’ 44-game Nassau County winning streak.

Seaford is next in action at Conference IV rival Roosevelt (4-0) on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.
