PHOTOS: Wantagh Football Defeats Mepham

A gallery from Saturday's Wantagh-Mepham football game won by the Warriors, 31-13.

The Wantagh High School football team impoved to a perfect 3-0 with a 31-13 home win against Mepham this past Saturday. 

The Warriors were paced by three touchdowns from running back Brandon Watson and 12 tackles from linebacker Peter Brasile. Quarterback Roddy Roche was 10-18 passing for 230 yards.

View photos of the Wantagh victory in the gallery above. The Warriors are next in action this Saturday at Carey starting at 1:30 p.m.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east of…Read More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
