Rushing Frenzy Leads Seaford Football to First Round Win

Justin Cestro rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns and Pat Bizzarro added 153 yards and two touchdowns and Seaford (7-2) defeated Clarke (4-5) 45-14 at Seaford High School Friday to advance to the semi-finals of Conference IV.

Seaford Coach Rob Perpall said the rushing attack is key to Seaford's success.

"We're a running offense and there's no secret about that," Perpall told Newsday. "The running backs compliment each other."

Seaford kept Clarke off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter, and James O'Hagan was a big reason why. He led the defense with 12 tackles and two sacks. Nick Silvestry was right behind him with 11 tackles and one sack as well.

Up next, Seaford will either play West Hempstead (6-2) or Mineola (4-4) Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Hofstra University, depending on who wins their quarter-final match-up. The finals will be on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Hofstra as well.
