The Seaford High School field hockey team's 2010 season ended Saturday with a 3-1 road loss to North Shore in the Nassau County Class B quarterfinals.
The sixth-seeded Vikings trailed 2-0 after one period and were able to stay in the game thanks to 14 saves from goalie Diana Rice. Seaford's lone tally was scored by Kara Murphy and assisted by Anastasia Shakalis.
Seaford finished the 2011 season 4-8-1 and 4-7-1 in Conference I. North Shore (6-5-1) will travel to face second-seeded Manhasset in the Class B semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.
