Seaford Girls Lacrosse Advances to County Semis

Lady Vikings defeat Island Trees in Class C quarterfinals and next face top-seeded Cold Spring Harbor.

The Seaford girls lacrosse team has reached the semifinal round for a third straight season.

The fourth-seeded Lady Vikings put themselves two wins from a county title with a 14-10 home win over Island Trees Thursday night in the Class C quarterfinals. Seaford was led by four goals from Ali Glazer with Emma Schait chopping in two tallies.

Seaford will next face top-seeded Cold Spring Harbor in the Class C semifinals on May 23 at Adelphi University starting at 4 p.m. During last year’s semifinals, the Lady Vikings held a late 12-10 lead against eventual county champion North Shore before giving up the game’s final three goals in a heartbreaking 13-12 defeat.
