A Seaford Viking lacrosse star is heading north to college at the Division 1 level.
Emma Schait has signed with SUNY Albany, Seaford school officials said.
Schait, was a two time all-county player and scoring threat who has been on the Seaford Varsity since 7th-grade.
She joins an Albany team that finished 12-5 and played in the America West title game last season.
She said she chose Albany because it was close to home and she felt comfortable with the program.
“Everything about it fits my personality and I just meshed with the other girls on the team,” she said.
Emma also plans to continue a stellar academic career. She is one of the top 25 ranked students at the school and a member of the National Honor Society.
She will study English literature at Albany.
