Two Local MacArthur HS Cross Country Runners Honored

Erin Perotta of Wantagh earns All-Conference honors with Ryan Clifford of Seaford being named to the All-Division team.

Two local teens on MacArthur High School’s cross-country team were honored on Dec. 3 at the annual Nassau County Cross-Country Awards dinner for their impressive achievements this season.

Erin Perotta of Wantagh earned All-Conference honors and Ryan Clifford of Seaford was named to the All-Division team. Also honored from MacArthur were Steven Morra (All-Division) and Jennifer Race (All-Conference and All-Division), both Levittown residents.

Perotta and Race were part of a MacArthur girls cross country team girls team that concluded the 2012 season with a 9-4 record. The MacArthur boys cross country team went 8-5 against some of the state's top runners and competed in the prestigious Brown University Invitational.

“These sports teams should be proud of their determination and dedication throughout the season,” said MacArthur cross country head coach John Reynolds. “They represented MacArthur High School admirably."
