VIDEO: Seaford's Greg Kolodinsky to Play in Empire Challenge Football Game

Will represent Long Island in annual all-star event.

Seaford’s Greg Kolodinsky was too big to play football as a little kid, but he’s used his strength and size to grew into an all-star athlete.

He’ll show his skills in the annual Empire Challenge all-star football game Tuesday, June 21 at Hofstra University.

Kolodinsky, who will play guard on the offensive line in the game, will represent Long Island on the gridiron one last time as they look to beat the New York City team in the game meant to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and youth football for the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

“I’ve been watching this game since I’m very little,” said Kolodinsky, a four-year varsity player who has helped Seaford win four county titles and one Long Island crown. “It’s an honor playing in this game. I can’t wait.”

He is one of a handful of Long Island players who are headed to SUNY Cortland for the next chapter in their athletic careers.
