VIDEO: U.S. Tether Car Racing Event Hits Seaford

American Miniature Car Racing Association holds national competition at Cedar Creek Park.

The American Miniature Car Racing Association (AMCRA) held a U.S. tether car racing national competition from Aug. 18-20 at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford.

Racers from across the country and Europe competed in more than eight classes. Tether car racing features cars that measure a foot to two and a half feet long, weighing between two and six pounds and running upwards of 200 miles per hour on a circular concrete track propelled by steel cable and fueled by methanol.
