It’s Garden City, again. The Nassau Conference II football schedule is out and the defending Long Island Class II champion Trojans are the top seed.
That’s who stands between Wantagh and a county title. The Warriors have suffered back-to-back losses to Garden City in the Nassau Conference II title game.
Veteran Coach Keith Sachs returned after a one-year hiatus and guided Wantagh to an 8-3 season. The Warriors lost a 21-17 heartbreaker to Garden City in the title game. Garden City’s game-ending interception by senior Spencer Bias sealed the win.

Wantagh is the No. 3 seed in Conference II as the new season approaches. Practice begins Aug. 19.
