Francesca Venezia of Wantagh, a top player in the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), has been selected to play with the Girls-Under-14 National Team later this month.
Venezia, who competed on the varsity girls soccer team as an eighth grader last year, will be training at the U.S. Girls-Under-14 National Team Training Camp in Carson, Calif. from May 27 to June 3. In ENYYSA, Francesca plays for the Albertson Red 98 Fury of the Big Apple Soccer League in addition to taking part in an Olympic development program coached by Eric Teepe.
“Francesca is a very dynamic player who can beat players off the dribble or through combination play,” said Coach Teepe. “She reads the game very well.”
