Photo of the Day: "Jonse" Beach Roadway Sign
The misprint has already been crossed out.
A simple spelling mistake in a very prominent spot is making its waves around social media.
The Robert Moses Parkway, which provides direction towards Jones Beach spelled the Beach's sign wrong. What motorists saw was "Jonse Beach", which you can see with the photo attached.
"That's crazy," Jim Magloire said on Wantagh-Seaford Patch's Facebook page.
"How does that even happen?" Martina Tretter added.
On Twitter, the reaction was similar, although some didn't think it was that big of a deal. Karlee Vollmer posted a photo, where you can see that the error has been covered.
