Wantagh Synagogue Holds Annual Summer Flea Market

More than 100 vendors take part in late flea market Temple B'Nai Torah.

in Wantagh recently held its annual summer flea market with more than 130 vendors selling a variety of items from jewelry to birdhouses.

The flea market was attending by some non-profit organizations such as Traveling Awareness Bears, Rebuilding Together and the American Cancer Society as well as local businesses.

"It helps people know that the community is doing things and it gives local businesses an opportunity to know we are here," said Ben Cermese, who helped organize the flea market.

Proceeds from the flea market are used to support groups at the temple as well as assisting local families in need. This November, the synagogue will be holding its annual Holiday Fair on Nov. 25. For more information, contact brotherhood@temple-bnai-torah.org or log onto www.temple-bnai-torah.org
