The Democrats shot themselves in the foot by running Tom Suozzi against Ed Mangano. The polls confirm this.
To me, the only remaining point of interest in this election is whether or not Suozzi's ill-conceived candidacy has torpedoed Dave Denenberg's candidacy for re-election to the County Legislature. I think Steve Rhoads has a real chance to pull off an upset victory over Dave Denenberg.
While I appreciate everything that Dave Denenberg has done for us, he is on the wrong ticket, headed by the wrong character, Suozzi. Dave should seriously consider switching parties, and bringing Claudia Borecky over with him.
