Autism Speaks Holds Awareness Walk at Jones Beach

Autism Speaks' annual walk took place on Sunday, Oct. 6th at Jones Beach.

More than 30,000 participated and the heavy drizzle did nothing to dampen the high spirits of all the family and friends who gathered, according to Legislator Judy Jacobs, a grandma of a young 5 year old who has autism.

"Spencer is the light of our lives and he is doing so well," she said. "Early intervention is the key and supporting Autism Speaks is the way to give support to the efforts in finding and identifying all the skills out there to help the young people."
