Seaford Girl Scout Troop Hard at Work in 2012

Troop 3050 has sold more than 700 cookie boxes and is collecting money to support military personell stationed overseas.

This past Saturday, Girl Scout Troop 3050 could be found selling cookies and collecting money to support military personell overseas at the  in Seaford.

The girls in the troop are junior level scouts and fourth grade students at in Seaford. The troop has sold more than 700 boxes this year with the most popular flavor selected by bank customers Saturday being Thin Mints. 

In addition to selling cookies and raising money for charitable causes, Troop 3050 has been working on a project known as the “Journey on Stereotypes.” The girls have been interviewing different women and the roles they play in stereotypes. They have been discussing the different stereotypes of girls and boys and have been working towards three patches called reach out, the speak out and the try out.
