PHOTOS: 5K Aids/Cancer Run/Walk Held in Seaford

Fifth annual Brodsky Foundation race held in Cedar Creek Park.

The fifth annual Richard M. Brodsky Foundation 5K Aids/Cancer Run/Walk was held at in Seaford Sunday morning. 

Proceeds from the race were used to benefit people living with cancer and HIV at Cohne's Chilren's Medical Center of New York and the Center of Aids Research & Treatment at North Shore University Hospital. The race was organized by Atlantic Beach resident Richard Brodsky, who was diagnosed with HIV in 1997 and terminal brain cancer in 2002. 

The choir sang the national anthem just before the race kicked off. Terry Bisogno served as the race announcer.
