Seaford Wellness Council holds its ninth annual cleanup of preserve on June 1.

The Seaford Wellness Council held its ninth annual clean-up of Tackapausha Preserve in conjunction with the American Hiking Society’s 2013 National Trails Day this past Saturday.

Joining the Seaford Wellness Council at the event were the Seaford Chamber of Commerce, the Friends of Tackapausha, Seaford High School Key Club, Tackapausha Tree People and Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick. Around 20 pounds of bags of cans, bottles and other debris were removed from the central section of the three-zoned preserve located along the Seaford-Massapequa border.
