Sandy a Year Later and Spooky Week Ahead.

Here's what's happening this week in and around the Wantagh-Seaford area.

We end October, open November and mark the anniversary of a day we'd like to forget this week.

Here's a look ahead:

Sandy: Tuesday marks the one year anniversary of the storm that devastated the south shore of Long Island. Patch will take a look at the storm and try to get a feel of where we are as a community. 

Halloween: The Wantagh Library will have several events related to the candy and costumes holiday. There will be two chances for families to make an edible spooky house Monday at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  they will also have a trick or treat event for kids 3 and up at 7 p.m.

Puppets: The Seaford Library will host a show by "Katies Puppet's Wednesday at  1:15 p.m.

BOA: The Town of Hempstead Board of Appeals holds a meeting Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

PTA: The Mandaly PTA will kick off their Yankee Candle Sale Monday.
