Wantagh Park, located just south of Merrick Road, has been part of the Nassau County park system since 1961. TheMore 111-acre park is packed with amenities that appeal to individuals in search of activity or relaxation, including a two-mile fitness trail, five tennis courts, a basketball court, softball and baseball fields, playgrounds, a dog run, reserved picnic areas, a marina, fishing pier and horseshoe courts. In the summer the swimming complex is a welcome respite from the heat for the entire family. The bustling complex features waterslides, an interactive water play area and four swimming pools. Fees vary for residents and non-residents. 
Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center

The Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center  is a conservative synogauge that serves over 400 families. The WantaghMore Jewish Center was founded in 1951 and in 2007 combined resources with the Farmingdale Jewish Center to form the Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center. In 2008 the Israel Community Center in Levittown also merged with the Farmingdale Wantagh Jewish Center.  Daily minyans are offered in the morning and evening as well as family services, and Shabbat dinners. The congregation has religous education for children and adults, a pre-school, Sisterhood, Yiddish Club, and Men's Club. The synogauge's spiritual leader is Rabbi Alan Lavin.

Friends In Serving Humanity (FISH) of Wantagh is a non-sectarian network of volunteers that provides free transportationMore to local senior citizens to their medical appointments. Most volunteers serve one day a month, with some working for an occasional hour. FISH of Wantagh, founded in 1970, is partially funded by the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs through the New York State Office for the Aging. The Church of South India (CSI) Malayalam Congregation of Greater New York held its first worship service on March 14,More 1982 at the Christ Congregational Church in Woodhaven, Queens. The church, which is a member of the Anglican Communion, inaugrated its current building on 3833 Jerusalem Ave., Seaford on Dec. 22, 2001. The church building was constructed in 1958 and originally operated as a Baptist church. The Seaford chuch is the largest CSI congregation in North America and has grown from 30 families to over 100. The church's pastor is Rev. Nebu Skariah.

The Church of St. Jude is an Episcopal congregation that has been serving the Wantagh community since its founding inMore February 1956. The church's sanctuary is located on an acre of land in a residential neighborhood known as Wantagh Woods. The facility also includes a Sunday School wing that is connected to the church sanctuary. A parish hall wing, which accommodates 314 people and used for church breakfasts, dinners and other social gatherings, was dedicated in 1992. A Bible study group meets at the church every Thursday morning.</p> <p> </p>

The church offers weekday and weekend Masses and confessions every Saturday. Religious education is offered as well as various ministries and sports activities. Connected to the church but located in a separate building across the street is the St. William the Abbot School, which serves students in first grade through eighth grade. The church is currently under the leadership of Rev. Robert L. Hayden and is part of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

MOMMAS House is a not-for-profit organization that works with Birthright International to serve as a home for youngMore mothers (aged 17-21) and their children. For about two years, mothers who utilize MOMMAS House, which has locations throughout Nassau County, can continue education or vocational services that were interrupted by pregnancy. The Wantagh MOMMAS House opened in 1986 and is located inside the Wantagh Shopping Plaza. The goal of MOMMAS House is to provide guidance and support to young mothers so that they can learn to independently support themselves and their children.</p> <p> </p>

The Seaford church, which wasMore established in 1980, is a member of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A. The church building, which dates back to 1895, serves a congregation of parishioners from various ethnic backgrounds, including people of Carpatho-Russian, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Serbian and Arab heritage.  Services are done primarily in English but parts of certain services are done in the traditional Slavonic and some prayers and responses are conducted in Greek and Romanian. The church's pastor is Rev. Hieromonk Matthia. 
United Methodist Church of Seaford

In 1983 "The Memorare Foundation" was established, which has donated over $180,000 to charities. The council also donates an average of $9,000 annually to various organizations.
