Paraphrasing the title of a famous poem by John Donne, I wanted to share two contemporary quotations from yesterday's news which I feel summed up one notable life:
"…I never worship at the shrines of our public servants. They owe us the truth."
“…our democracy works best when we ask tough questions and hold our leaders to account….”
Such was the remarkable life and lasting contribution of Helen Thomas, Dean of the White House Press Corps who passed recently at the age of 92.
