Project Hope - Free Workshops for individuals impacted by Hurricane Sandy

Project Hope will be offering free educational workshops for individuals who were impacted by hurricane Sandy. The workshops will focus on the strength and resilience who those who weathered the storm. These workshops will provide tips on coping with normal feelings and reactions.

Below are the dates and topics.

10-10-2013: “I
used to love doing that." 
Engaging in

activities that you enjoy can help you feel like your old self and help

reestablish routines, schedules, and your sense of purpose.

10-17-2013: “Why
am I still feeling this way?” 
Identifying normal

emotions and reactions to abnormal experiences can help you learn how to

understand and manage your feelings.

10-24-2013: “I

should be coping better by now.”
Changing the way you

look at your thoughts about your experience can reduce the intensity of

negative reactions and help you see that recovery does not have a timeline.

Identifying supports


within your life no matter who or what (your pet counts!) can help you feel

less alone.
