Fundraiser Planned for Tutaj Family at Mulcahy's

April 24 event to benefit parents who lost 15-year old son in February.

The local community is coming together this month to help out a Seaford family that has been hit with a series of recent tragic events.

A fundraiser is scheduled for Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh on April 24 to benefit Robert and Eileen Tutaj of Seaford, whose 15-year old son Joseph died suddenly of a strep infection in mid February while he was on a Seaford High School band trip to Southern California. Robert Tutaj is also in the midst of a battle with stage-four cancer and the family has been displaced from their Seaford Harbor home since Superstorm Sandy struck in late October.

The April 24 benefit at Mulcahy’s for the Tutaj family kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will include a hot buffet and open bar with raffles and auctions. There will also be live music from bands Barry Jive and the London Gentlemen, Steel Horse Band and Fivestone. Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children/young adults.
