Seaford Man Inducted into Softball Hall of Fame

He was honored for his on- field prowess and his long history of community service.

Sal Frosina, 75, of Seaford was inducted into the Long Island Senior Softball Association(LISSA) Hall of Fame in a ceremony sponsored by the Bristal Assisted Living communities.

Frosina, a second baseman with the LISSA Mets, plays two doubleheaders a week.

He was honored for his on- field prowess and his long history of community  service. Since his retirement from Citibank, he snow plows for “older” neighbors on his street and drives seniors in need of assistance to doctor appointments and medical treatments.

Frosina is an active volunteer at St. William the Abbot Roman Catholic Church and utilizes his banking expertise at St. James Parrish.
